Samsung T7 external drive (which has the content) I could be way off centerline with my assumptions, can anyone tell me whether this will be a good purchase before I go and get it? I don't want to spend a ton of $$$ on something only to feel out of my element when it come to setting it up. It is my understanding that the reason no one likes it for Plex is because it cant handle that many transcodes? Or that the transcode speeds are slow? I thought if I connected my (would have) Plex library to Infuse on my ATV4K I wouldn't have to worry about the My Cloud doing any transcoding, because the ATV would do it? When I read the r/PleX forums, everyone says they wont touch the thing with a ten foot pole, but I want an opinion that is less biased. I dont want to spend more than like $150, but Best Buy has the WD My Cloud Home 2 TB for a little more than that, and I am reading that I could host a Plex server on it.

I downloaded Infuse, and I am able to access my 'movies' folder on my MacBook this way, but I don't want to have the MacBook always on when I binge hours of Naruto. I'm no IT expert, but I really want the ability to stream content I have saved to my Apple TV 4K.
